150th Annual Reunion – August 19, 2017

Meeting convened at 11:00 a.m. by Anita Fernald, president.
Families were asked to stand in groups sharing a common ancestor: Matthew,
Alexander, and John.
Secretary's Report: by Eleanor Richardson. Written reports were
available from last year. Births, Marriages, and deaths from the newsletter were
read, with the following additions:
Births: Jason Bragdon DiPietro was born Feb. 16, 2017, son of
Brianna Bragdon, grandson of David and Terry Bragdon, great-grandson of Carlene
Hammond Farr, whose mother was Marie Keller.
Isa Marie Snyder was born March 29, 2017, grandfather Robert Hamalainen (??).
Eileen Madelyn Grace (Maya??)
from Robert Merriam: Beverly Merriam, Chase Merriam (??)
Thompson Mayhew, son of Brian Mayhew
Marriages:
Vickie Levesque and Jack Hammond were applauded, married May 19, 2017.
Andrew Lee Kalloch (son of James Kalloch) married Jenna Marie Adams-Kalloch (nee
Adams) July 8, 2016, in Portland, OR.
Deaths: Janice Marie Keller Knowles died April 21, 2017.
Jeannie Hammond, wife of Norman, died August 16, 2017
Irma Annis Carroll. A moment of silence and memory was observed.
Treasurer's Report: by Paul Wilson - written. Beginning Balance
July 31, 2016, was $3352.26. Receipts were $4,383.88. Expenses were $4447.05,
(including some 2017 meeting expenses after July 31st.). Ending balance July 31,
2017 was $3,289.09, which included $294 in the website fund. Expenditures +
ending balances = $7736.14.
Paul spoke eloquently, requesting donations in the coffee pot. Historian Peter
Richardson explained the story of the
coffee pot. Liam Dyer, grandson of Jack
Hammond, passed the coffee pot, collecting $643.25.
Webmaster & co-historian: by Ken Kalloch. The family tree has
35,611 people online, 5,045 new this year. There are more than 10,000 photos,
with 2246 added this year. We average 1500 visits/month, observing 7,000 pages.
We now have a
Facebook page also, with 213 Likes.
Registrar and Prizes: by Sandy Zimmerman, who awarded 150th
Anniversary hats to:
Oldest: Carlene Hammond Farr, 91 next week. Youngest
was her great-grandson Jack Bragdon, 7 months. Longest married,
Ron and Cookie Kalloch, 59 1/2 years. Farthest traveled was Pat
Stephen from Lincoln, NE. Early bird was Eleanor Richardson.
Old and new business: Bev Wilson moved and Andrew Kalloch
seconded $600 for the coming year for the website.
Announcement of Edna St. Vincent Millay Festival, Sept. 7-9 in Rockland.
