William & Nellie Award for Genealogical Excellence
2/7/02

Ken,

Oh my goodness!! Is there ANY chance that this Mary Kelloch is really part of the extensive family on your site? I can hardly believe this case of serendipity!!

John Pillsbury 1787 - 1832 +Mary Kaller? Keller? Kelloch? May 4 1790 St. George ME - 1882 (maiden name has numerous spellings) married September 27, 1808 in Thomaston ME both buried Weskeag Village Cemetery, So. Thomaston, Knox County, Maine The other notes I have from The Pillsbury Family book indicate that her parents were Finley III and Mary Kelloch. HOW COMPLETELY EXCITING that you sent me an application for my award and discovered a distant relative at the same time!!

Now to your application: I've attached my award with great pleasure - your website is EXCELLENT! I will be back again and again to explore! Please let me know when you have it posted and linked back to my site and I'll add your site to my list of award recipients.

Please also let me know about Mary above - I have a wonderful photo of her in my great-grandfather's photo album that I will gladly share if you're interested.

Lauricella/Dornbirer Genealogy Award
3/2/02

Clean, crisp and well organized, Ken has put together a wonderful site. His family is descended from mounted Scot mercenaries, how cool!! (Lisa just rolled her eyes). Great site map, made it easier for disabled people to navigate.  Impressive string of reunions including history - first one in 1867!! Great historical tidbits made the family come alive and a nice newsletter. We loved the photographs sprinkled about the site.
