August 25, 1937

The sixty-eight [70th*] annual reunion of the Kalloch family was held at the St. George Grange Hall, Wednesday August 25, with 26 present.

The meeting was called to order by president E. K. Gould of Rockland, by uniting in singing America, after which E. J. Kalloch (Honorary President) of Warren, presided over the meeting.

The following nominating committee was appointed: Mr. E. K. Gould, Mrs. Mabel Rollins and Miss Cora Murdough. The committee on location: Arthur D. Kalloch, Edith Watts and Mary Kalloch. Committee on entertainment: Mrs. Mabel Rollins, Mrs. Dora Kalloch and Mrs. Ella Robinson.

The following officers were elected:
President: E. K. Gould, Rockland
Vice Presidents: Daniel Keller, Rockport; Everett Kalloch, South Thomaston, James Kellogg, Cambridge, Mass.; Mrs. Lillian Joyce, Rockland and Mrs. Ella Robinson, St. George; Robert Simmons of Rockland and John R. Kalloch, Hatfield, Mass.
Secretary and Treasurer: Arthur D. Kalloch, Thomaston.

It was voted to hold the next meeting at the home of Arthur D. Kalloch, Thomaston, the last Wednesday in August, 1938.

Remarks were made on the genealogy of the family by E. J. Kalloch of Warren, E. K. Gould of Rockland, Miss Mary Kalloch of Warren, Mrs. Mabel Rollins of West Somerville, Mass., and Marguerite Gould of Rockland. Remarks were also made by Prof. E. B. Rollins of West Somerville, Mr. & Mrs. John R. Kalloch of Hatfield, Mass.

The oldest person present was E. J. Kalloch of Warren, 88. The youngest, Donald Reilly of Thomaston, 9. The one coming from the longest distance, Mr. & Mrs. John R. Kalloch, Hatfield, Mass.

The following deaths were reported: Henry F. Kalloch, Tenants Harbor, Me., Fannie B. Kalloch, Warren, Me., Emerson Watts, Thomaston, Me., Susie Hart, Medfield, Mass., Mr. Lawrence Kalloch, Warren, Me., Mrs. Katherine Simmons, Thomaston, Miss Millie Graves, California, formerly of St. George., George E. Sleeper, Waltham, Mass., Cleveland Sleeper of South Thomaston, Maine.
