The sixty-seventh [69th*]
annual reunion of the Kalloch family was held at the St. George Grange Hall
with 60 present.
The meeting was called to order by Vice-president, Mrs. Ella Robinson of St.
George, and the following nominating committee was appointed: Mrs. Mabel
Rollins, West Somerville, Mass., - Mrs. Nettie Griffin, Rockland; Miss Cora
Murdough, St. George. The committee on location: Arthur D. Kalloch,
Thomaston; Miss Edith Watts, Lynn, Mass.; Rosa Teele, Thomaston. Committee
on entertainment, Mrs. Sarah Caddy, St. George; Mrs. Lillian Joyce Rockland;
Mr. Charles D. Gould.
The following officers were elected:
President: E. K. Gould, Rockland
Vice Presidents: Daniel Keller, Rockport, Everett Kalloch, So. Thomaston,
James Kellogg, Cambridge; Mrs. Lillian Joyce, Rockland; Mrs. Ella Robinson,
St. George; Robert Simmons, Warren.
Family Historian: Marguerite Gould, Rockland.
Secretary & Treasure: Arthur D. Kalloch, Thomaston.
E. J. Kalloch, Warren, who has been president of the Kalloch family for
several yeas was made Honorary President.
It was voted to hold the next reunion at the St. George Grange Hall the last
Wednesday in August, 1937.
Remarks were made by Edward K. Gould. Report on the genealogy of the family
was given by Miss Marguerite Gould, Rockland. Remarks also made by Prof. E.
B. Rollins of Somerville, Mass.; Mary Kalloch Post, Rockland. A poem was
read by Robert Simmons of Warren, entitled "Dear Old Maine."
The oldest person present was Amariah Kalloch, So. Thomaston, 82. The
youngest person present was John Felton Pitcher, Waldoboro, 1 year.
The following deaths were reported: Richard Snow, Rockland, Albert Dairs,
Thomaston, Harvie Kalloch, Wolfboro, N.H., F. S. Smalley, Medford Highlands,
Grace Crockett, Mass.
It was voted to adjourn.
