Our speaker will be Eleanor Richardson, on "The Importance of First-Hand Sources."  Eleanor and Peter Richardson moved to Rockland in 2002. She is the author of five books of local history. For the past ten years she and her husband have been transcribing and editing 80 years of family diaries, written by Joseph and Henry Ingraham – father and son – about Ingraham’s Point in Rockland’s South End. They are on the brink of publishing this 1100-page history. Eleanor enjoys audience participation and will ask: What would you like to know about someone you are close to, but never thought to ask?  How can you save that information?”

3:00 P.M   Edna St. Vincent Millay Home Tour

Following Eleanor's presentation, we are lucky to be invited to tour the Edna St. Vincent Millay house nearby, which is in the process of renovation!  We suggest a donation toward the renovation project of $10/person if possible.
