JOHN KELLER AMES - Leader in the lumber manufacturing industry in Maine, he was also President of the Machias Water Co. and involved with other utility Co.'s and banks. He was Chair of the Board of Selectmen, State Senator from Washington Co. and pillar of the Universalist church.
