The 63rd [65th*]
annual reunion of the Kalloch family was held at the home of Mr. & Mrs.
Arthur D. Kalloch August 31, 1932. There were 70 persons present. The
blessing was asked by Deacon Edward Brown.
After the dinner hour the meeting was called to order by the President E. J.
Kalloch. The last records were read and approved. It was voted to elect the
old board of officers:
1. President - E. J. Kalloch of Warren
2. Vice Presidents - D. M. Kalloch of Rockport, Dea. H. F. Kalloch of
Tenants Harbor, Everett Kalloch of South Thomaston, James Kellogg of
Cambridge, mass, and Mrs. Ella Robinson of St. George.
3. Sec. & Treas. - Arthur D. Kalloch
4. Committee on Nomination - Mrs. Nancy Allen of Tenants Harbor, H. C.
Mansfield of Lynn, Mass. and Mrs. Miller of N.C.
5. Committee on Location - Arthur Kalloch, Henry F. Kalloch and Mrs. [?]. C.
Brown.
It was voted to meet at the same place next year.
Deaths reported were:
1. Rodney Kinney of St. George
2. John Kellar of Belfast
The oldest person present was Henry F. Kalloch, 90. The youngest was
Charlene Rose Allen of Tenants Harbor, age 1 yr. The next youngest was
William Annis of Rockport. The newest member of the family was born to Mr. &
Mrs. Blackman of Rockland on the day of our meeting, Aug 31, 1932.
Remarks were made by Dea. H. F. Kalloch, Pres. E. J. Kalloch, Daniel Kellar,
Mrs. Miller of N.C., Miss Edith Watts of Lynn, Edward Brown, Walter Swift
and Mrs. Emerson Watts of Thomaston. Conversation and watching the eclipse
of the sun filled an hour. Mrs. Mabel Wilson of Tenants Harbor and Mrs.
Lillian Joyce of Rockland sang very sweetly and with reverence "In The
Garden," and "The Old Rugged Cross." The reunion then came to a close by the
singing in unison of "God Be With You Till We Meet Again."
