Notes for Francis Marion Killough


In the early 1900s, after living in White County and Scott County, AR, the family moved through Oklahoma to Brown Co., TX. At one time they lived at May, Brown Co., TX. About 1908, they farmed close to Red Tank School between May and Brownwood.
About 1920, they operated one or more boarding houses in Brownwood, one being on Melwood Ave., next to the railroad track. At one time they owned a home and small grocery store on the Old May Road by the Bayou and Pecan Station. In later years, they
lived in Bailey Co., TX, with Jim and Pearl.
