Notes for Allen Killough


Part of Mecklenberg Co., NC, later became, in succession, Camden Dist., SC, then the York and Chester Counties of SC. He served in the Revolutionary War in the So. Car. militia in 1781 and 1782. By 1787, land in Wilkes County, GA, was granted to
Allen by the governor. At some time, Allen and Margaret lived in Oglethorpe Co., GA, selling land to John and Elizabeth Wilks. Widow Margaret went to "Jones Valley", now Jeff. Co., AL, where her estate inventory was recorded in 1824.
