Notes for John Killough

He went with his father and brothers, David and Allen to Donnegal, Lancaster Co., Penn., where other Scotch-Irish immigrants were gathered. On May 8, 1734, they were informed that they could have grants of land in Cumberland Co., and set out
immediately for their new home. Robert helped his sons get a start, securing 200 acres of land for John and his brother David. He and Margaret had two sons, Richard and Isaac Kello/Killough, Sr. The Rhea Co., TN, branch descends from Richard
Killough; the Montgomery Co., AL, branch descends from Isaac Kello, Sr.; (Valerie Payne, 10/20/08 writes: "Richard Kello of Southampton, VA was not the son of John KIllough and not the progenitor of the Rhea Co. Killoughs. See her notes with Richard
Killough/Kello's information).
